The STL software for the CarveWright system is a stand-alone program and can be used with other CNC systems. "You can rotate and tilt the slices in any direction, you can set your slice depth at whatever size you want or you can just go in and cut the whole thing in half and then work out your slices," adds Lovchik. CarveWright machines are the easiest to use that are available. For the money I would try a cheaper machine, that way you dont have much invested in it. Once a model is created on a PC or Mac, the information is transferred from the computer to a memory card and the card is then inserted into the CarveWright.
